10:10 How will the electric grid of the future work?
Ryan Katofsky, of the Advanced Energy Economy, and Doug Scott, of the Great Plains Institute, will discuss the following:
How will an efficient, low-carbon grid operate; how will it leverage the exploding number of Distributed Energy Resources?
Iowa Utility Regulation 101: The challenge of the current electric utility regulatory environment.
How can the regulation of the grid change to create a more efficient, low-carbon grid?
State model examples. How other states are changing how the electric grid is regulated.
The participants will be invited to ask questions, provide comments, and engage in dialogue with the presenters.

SPECIAL KEYNOTE ADDRESS
Former Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chair Neil Chatterjee (FERC chair 2017-2020) will discuss the challenges and opportunities for a low carbon grid from a regional and federal perspective, including how the growth of electric vehicles will impact the regulation of the grid.
